My sister was in Poland last summer. And she brought me a book as a gift. A few weeks ago I finished reading. The book is a long interview with a survivor prisoner at Auschwitz concentration camp: Henryk Mandelbaum. During his captivity, he worked in the Sonderkommando. I knew nothing of this group of prisoners before. But now, sometimes I am puzzled thinking about the monstrosity that was all.
